The Hmong are an east Asian ethnic group that live mainly in China, Laos, Thailand, (Vietnam) and Cambodia. They are members of China’s officially recognized ethnic minorities and enjoy protected cultural status in the countries that they live in. The Hmong women are highly skilled crafters, and produce high quality embroidery, resist- dye fabrics and amazing skirt borders. Nomad style travels to far off corners of south-east Asia to curate ad procure authentic vintage tribal textiles of the Hmong culture. Get them while they last because the onslaught of mass produced textiles from China’s eastern seaboard is flooding the tiny mountain hamlets of south east Asia.
